Having too much to blog about

There are so many things that’ve made me feel good since my last post: enjoying a fabulous family weekend down in London (even though we were soaking up the Olympic atmosphere from outside the venues); managing to overcome my nerves to present an overview of my Strathcarron music project at a local Rotary Club dinner;  spending a special day with Alex through in Glasgow to celebrate the 25th anniversary of oor wee business; receiving a touching message, an awesome poem and some fabulous gifts from the kids that made celebrating Impressions in Stone’s special birthday all the more special; finishing off a lovely weekend with Sunday lunch and a blether with my mum; and being back singing again with all my awesome Heart of Scotland friends after the choir’s summer break.

So many things packed in to a really great week. And too many things to write about in any kind of detail in one blog post. So, I won’t even try; I’ll leave the memories in my head and publish a few wee photos instead:

Special gifts

The old and new from our nostalgic trip down the Clyde

Glasgow's Olympic Rings (and a good prop after lots of bubbly pop...)

Ringside seats for the 2012 Olympic marathon

More lovely celebration goodies. Ross had written in the card, "Well, if it goes arse up from this point, at least you can say you got this far...!" Can't help wondering where he gets his way with words from..?!

One of my favourite moments of London 2012; watching Mo win the 5k while sitting in a park a few miles away from the stadium surrounded by hundreds of cheering supporters and my wee crew...

...and here's my wee crew...
Gordon's a big movie buff, so it was nice of Heathrow Airport to provide Colin Farrell to 'meet and greet'.....
Me being a tourist waiting for Mo...

  2. I love your updates, Jane! Always so upbeat, and this one is filled with so much happiness. Glad it's been a fun-filled time since your last update - congrats on your 25 years in business especially. Quite an achievement! Loved Ross's words too, hehe!

    1. Thank you so much Nicky. Yup, Ross sure has a way with words! We're really proud of making it this far with our business, but it's certainly not all been (or is) plain sailing!Still, managing to keep our heads (just) above water in todays economic climate is no mean feat and definitely deserved a wee glass of bubbly or ten! :)
